Brand New THC (Marijuana, MJ, Weed) Test Strips in 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, and 40 Variable Item Quantities Expires in July 2020 Please note this is a *Private Listing* Potential Reasons for Use: For most people, these tests are most commonly used in employment situations. Often while on construction or other similar type jobs, if an error is made a urine test will be performed. This is done to determine if any substance such as marijuana could be a contributing factor to said error. This can be used by employers in that instance. For the potential worker, knowing if your urine will test positive in advance is helpful information. If you are applying for a job that requires a urine screen, you can use these tests to see if your urine is clean. Please note GC/MS will likely still be positive at this point and different urine tests have a different degree of sensitivity. This test’s cut off value is 50ng/mL, which is highly sensitive. For the concerned parent, partner, etc., knowing if the person close to you is using marijuana may be important to you. Most often used by parents concerned that their teenage children have started to experiment with marijuana. Finally for the medical professional, it is likely important for you to know if your patients are truthful in their drug histories to help in diagnosing many potential conditions. If of course you are prescribing marijuana, you will want to make sure your patients are positive for the drug to rule out diversion or non-compliance. Instructions on Use: 1. Collect your first urine specimen of the day in a clean container. 2. After removing the THC test strip from the package it must be used within one hour to maintain accuracy. Also, only hold the strip on the end that reads “THC”. Please note that in some cases a THC test can be positive up to a month after marijuana has entered your system. 3. While holding the end that says “THC”, dip the other end of the test strip into the urine for at least 15 seconds, up to but not past the “MAX” line. 4. Place the strip on a flat and non-absorbent surface for 5 to 8 minutes. This should be timed by the person testing. Do not interpret before 5 minutes or after 8 minutes as this can invalidate the results. 5. Interpret the results: a. Positive: A coloured band will appear at the control line only. This confirms THC in the urine. The intensity of the color may vary depending on urine concentration of THC metabolites. In rare cases a false positive can occur due to cross-reactivity. b. Negative: A coloured band at both the control and test lines. For the most part this means that there is no THC in the urine. c. Invalid Test: If no band occurs at the control line, the test is not accurate and should be discarded. This usually occurs as a result of not following the correct testing procedure, insufficient urine volume, or using expired tests. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us.
